Concours d'Elegance Society of GB . . . The Story
The society was established in 2018 with the aim of giving many aspiring equestrians a long awaited set of competition guidelines for this fast growing discipline. Having been a phenomenal success in it’s formative years, the society continues to grow.

Open to all breeds and types of horses and ponies, the CDSGB has affiliated classes throughout the country, at all levels, from local shows to major county and Championship shows, including our own Championship Show which is held in August at Onley Grounds Equestrian Complex. Classes are available to suit everyone, there is usually something for every competitor when joining our society. Our very popular Championship Show aims to provide the competitors with a fantastic show over two days and it is run to that everyone has a great time, competitively and socially; your very own Concours of the Year classes.

The aims of the Society are to educate and improve the standard of costumes, elegance and history both in hand, astride and under side saddle.

The Association endeavours to safeguard the interests of Members and their animals, in every possible way with fairness, integrity, transparency and progression of showing, with educational classes, training clinics and engagement of anyone interested in showing their horse. The Association has a comprehensive rulebook and adopts a stringent approach to the welfare of the horse.

The Society is run solely with the aim of supporting and promoting Concours d’Elegance as a sport. As a Member of the CDSGB you can rest assured that all funds gained by the Society are used solely for the benefit of the Members.

We are delighted to announce that many shows have affiliated with us for the forthcoming show season culminating in our Championship Show at Onley Grounds Equestrian Centre on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th August 2024
